Aarash has over a decade of experience in systems biology and bioinformatics, applying mechanistic and statistical models to omics data in small molecular drug discovery. His computational predictions have led to numerous scientific discoveries and successful pre-clinical and IRB-approved research studies. Aarash has served as the Principal Investigator on 12 grants from the NIH and Michael J. Fox Foundation with a cumulative funding of $14M since 2014. He has published 30+ peer-reviewed publications with over 8,000 citations, including several being listed in the top 1% of cited papers in their respective fields. He is an inventor with 13 issued patents. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. from UC San Diego, was awarded the Charles Lee Powell Foundation fellowship, and is a Gordon Scholar in engineering leadership.
