Aarash has nearly two decades of experience in computational biology, applying mechanistic and statistical models to omics data in small molecule drug discovery. His computational predictions have led to numerous scientific discoveries and successful pre-clinical and IRB-approved research studies. Aarash has served as Principal Investigator on 13 grants and mentored his team in securing an additional six grants from the NIH and Michael J. Fox Foundation, representing more than $23 million in cumulative funding. He has published 30+ peer-reviewed publications with over 8,500 citations, including several being listed in the top 1% of cited papers in their respective fields. He is an inventor with 20+ issued patents. He received his B.S. and Ph.D. from UC San Diego, was awarded the Charles Lee Powell Foundation fellowship, and is a Gordon Scholar in engineering leadership.
